One night, in a quiet house, I found myself on a blog called Operation Shower. I have no idea how I got there. I was reading how this nonprofit organization does baby showers for Military moms where most of the husbands are overseas. I thought it was very caring and interesting. As I read along, I saw that the next shower that they would be doing was in Ft. Campbell, KY. They needed volunteers and I figured that it was only an hour away, I could do the food. I emailed Amy and she was very grateful for my help. As the day got closer, I found myself a bit excited about doing something for these woman and the organization. Little did I know how beautiful this event would be. The decorations, but most of all the thought and love put into it for these mothers and their babies. Each guest was sent home with a giant box of shower gifts. Then there were giveaways, diapers, humidifiers, baby carriers, and the biggest surprise, a gift from Pottery Barn Kids; a beautiful crib for each one of them. They just laughed and cried with joy and surprise!
The picture below was the main dessert table. So beautifully put together. paper and cake donated all the cut outs and did a wonderful job putting it all together with Amy from Operation Showers and other volunteers.
The Marshmallow Studio did these beautiful, detailed Marshmallow pops.
Lily Love Photography volunteered her work and took some photos and was kind enough to send them to me and let me use them.
